This is a great vacuum if you're a stay at home mom like me. Anything to make your job a little easier. I bought it because my dog ate the cord to my old one (which was also a Eureka, but a different model and only about 1 1/2 years old.) Assembly was a piece of cake. I didn't even need the instructions and had it together in about 10 minutes.
Ooo-ing and awe-ing the whole time over all the neat features. The telescoping handle is great because you don't have to connect a bunch of tubes to get the length you need, (or worry about the kids running off with them.) Also, the cord rewind is a great feature if you're like me and hate having to wind the cord back up every time. If you have little ones that like to make frequent messes, all the winding and unwinding gets very frustrating and I often found myself just bunching the cord up and throwing the whole thing in the closet. Not anymore! Less time fighting with a vacuum = more time playing with my kiddo! VERY high on my 'to do' list. This model is a whole lot lighter than my older one and I find myself more willing to break it out since it's not a huge pain to operate. To add to the list it also works wonderfully! I didn't notice a huge improvement in my own house as my old vacuum was still fairly new and worked just as well. However, I took it to my neighbor's (because I didn't like her vacuum) while I was dogsitting for her and was amazed at all the hair it got out of her carpet just 1 day after using hers on it. I had to empty the canister after each room! Which, by the way, is so simple. I love the flip lid on the bottom! The filter is easy to clean and hardly makes a mess IF you know all the neat little tricks. I haven't had any problems with the belt yet, but in case I do it came with a spare!

I knew I needed a good vacuum because of my cat.... long hair and Kitty litter... but I was not prepared to spend $800.... but that is the quality of this vacuum! Now my friend is trying to convince her man to buy them one! She barrows it and has him try it out and keeps it for a few days to use again and say "I really love this vacuum, it does such a great job. Look at everything it picked up and you just vacuumed three days ago."

This vacuum is incredibly disappointing. I need it to clean-up cat hair and litter and it often just spits things out the back of the machine. Additionally, it is heavy and awkward to maneuver. My Dyson broke (after a very long time and much use), so I thought I'd take a chance on a cheaper vacuum. Big mistake. Plus the filter has to be changed all the time. Don't buy this is you need a vacuum that actually picks something up.

I had the old Eureka model before I bought this one. This new model is a great improvement over the old! They apparently completely re-designed the dirt collection and cup, as the other one always got clogged. This one is worth the upgrade! There is no "clog vortex" (my words) where I used to have to take it apart to resolve. Instead, the dirt and fibers go straight into a large cup which easily pulls out and bottom drops out for easy dump into the trash! And I don't have to empty it 2-3 times during a vacuum session as I had to with the old one. All tools are on board with a long hose that has the telescoping wand right on it, unlike the old model. And the crowning glory, the push-button cord wind-up! Yea! Love it! And another good thing, all controls are easily adjustable with the foot. That means I don't have to keep bending over during vacuuming--a big deal for anyone with back problems. Now I am happy to vacuum with my blue wonder, and actually look forward to it! Well worth the price, I don't think anything could be better at this price range or even higher.
