Bought 6 months ago, worked fine no problems. Fast forward 6 months and the thing just doesn't pick up anymore. You have to go over everything numerous times. What a hassle. And no, it's not worn out belts, dirty filters, filled canisters, it just doesn't work. Disappointing. Then again what can you expect for $70.

It's vacuum on the carpet pretty good. It looks very clean. After use a few times, it needs to clean the filer. It's heavy vacuum to me (I'm 5ft 6", 115 lbs). It can't vacuum deep under the table or bed more than 1-1/2 a feet because its body. Overall I like it and recommend.

This is a great vacuum! Easy to lift up stairs. I really needed a new vacuum the old one just didn't suck up the dirt,plus I had three dogs. I was amazed at how dirty my carpets where. This just sucked everything right up I had to empty the canister 3 times. Also very easy to put together, did it myself. Packed in huge boxes no damage here. Low price cann't find it cheaper anywhere.

Our old vacuum recently died on us so we decided to hit the store to see what sort of replacement we could get. Granted we didn't actually buy this at Amazon, but we did use Amazon.com to check out reviews while we were in the store (Droid + Amazon.com app wins!). This vacuum was the best deal hands-down, but the problem always seems to be that you get what you pay for. There was a woman and her mom at the store next to us and thanks to the app we steered them away from a really crummy "other brand".
Got the thing home and put it together. It was a quick process with only one screw to tighten. I checked all the components out and they look like they're made of quality materials, including the hose which can be a pain in the neck if you use the wand attachments. So I put it together and this thing is solid! It's heavy, but once you start wheeling it around it's not so bad. The directions were clear, concise, and I love that there's a section on how to fix it should something break. Even a non-handy person like me could probably fix a broken belt or clogged filter. Speaking of filters, there are three on this thing and they all look like they're built to last. Well, built to last the 6 months Bissell recommends you replace them at.
After I got it all set to try out, I gave it a preliminary whirl around the living room. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like vacuuming, but it was actually fairly enjoyable. We're the kind of family that's...well, messy. There's only two adults and two cats, but we're both clumsy and the cats like to shed everywhere. So I fired her up and the first lap was amazing. I pulled the dirt cup out and that thing was pretty full already! We don't vacuum a ton, but enough that I thought our floors were pretty clean. Apparently not and I had the proof in my hand. I emptied that out and cleaned out the filters (which if you have a lot of pet fur, you need to do every time otherwise the filters get clogged easily).
Then I decided to give the attachments a try. They're all easy to put together and the TurboBrush thing pulled out cat hair I didn't even know was IN our couch. Definite and large thumbs up from me there. The crevice tool seems okay, not sure if we'll use it that much since we don't really have a big house to try it in or stairs. The hose is great - really stretchy, but I wish it was a little longer. Maybe it will pull around easier once it's been in use for awhile.
Once I was done I pulled main filter (under the dirt cup) out and washed it, piece of cake! Everything came apart and went together really easily and I like that because it means the next time I fire the vacuum up I'll be taken care of.
The only recommendation I have is not to set the vacuum on anything but the floor if you clean the couch. The instructions weren't lying when they said those brushes are still spinning even when the attachments are going. My couch will never be quite the same, but lesson learned!
All in all I would definitely buy this vacuum again and recommend others to do it as well!

The vacuum cleaner broke within the first 5 minutes of cleaning. It started to smoke and smell like burned rubber. Turned out it broke the belt. I called bissell right away and they were very nice and sent me 2 replacement belts free of charge overnight. The other issue is that once I vacuum the machine gets extremely dusty and dirty on the outside. Perhaps because the connections do not fit too well. The hose is very short and once I started using it it popped out and threw dust all over the vacuum. Up to now it has been used twice but look like 10 year old vacuum. It is very noisy too. Despite all this said I am keeping it, because it shows that it picks up the dirt of the carpet. Perhaps a lot of these issues are due to the fact that I vacuumed a brand new carpet and something like a white dust was coming out of it. I had to stop the vacuum and throw away the dust every few minutes. It was amazing how much it picked up. we will see how it handles in the future but as I mentioned above Bissell customer service is great and the vacuum has a warranty so I am not worried.
