My wife and I have a thing for vacuum cleaners; we've bought a lot of them! We really like this little vacuum. I keep it hanging on the wall on its standard so it is always ready to go to work. I find it works equally well on hard surfaces and on low pile carpet. I can use the vacuum+brush setting or just the vacuum setting. But, I find it works much much better with the brush running. It cleans the throw rugs and bath mats without sucking them up or moving them. It cleans our Persian rugs gently without undue wear and tear. Great on carpeted or bare stairs. I use it on couches, chairs, and even on the counter top and table top when my wife isn't looking.
My only complaint is that it is kind of a pain to empty the cup and to clean the filter bag. It is messy and dusty. I usually use our large vacuum to clean out this smaller one. You will find that threads and long hair get wrapped around the brush spindle but that is easily fixed using a sewing ripper.
Great little tool, very convenient for quick daily pickups. Have given several as gifts and have always heard great things back from the receiver.

Great product ,have owned for 3 years. This is not the best tool for cleaning out carpets, but for hard floors you can't beat the quick clean-ups, and where this product really shines is when you disconnect the handle and use it with the beater brush on and use it to clean sofas, bedspreads etc. We have three dogs(short hair) and you wouldn't believe all the dander,dead skin,hair, dust you name it that this gets off your furniture.I know it because I start with a clean filter and check after. After a week I'll clean out the filter with the big up-right. Battery life is good for about 10 minutes at a crack which is long enough for most jobs till you recharge--- recommend spare battery that the charger accommodates. Couldn't live with out it!

I had a Eureka "Boss Lite" for years and the battery finally gave out. I tried every where to find a replacement because we love this little light-weight vac. Turns out it would cost as much to replace it's battery as it would to purchase the Eureka "Quick-Up Vac". So we got the "Quick-Up" and its just as good, if not better, than the original. It's light-weight, easy to use, great battery life, beater-bar and this one you can even remove the handle to use it as a hand-held. Plus the battery is a plug in so its easy to change if you have a spare. Can't sing it's praises enough.

I've been using the Eureka Quick-up for a few months now and couldn't be happier. It is lightweight and cordless, which makes it extremely easy to use. It picks up animal hair quite easily, as well as other small objects. There are two settings: one for carpet and the other for flooring. I use the vacuum in my kitchen and bathroom as well (both tile). The battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum my entire two bedroom apartment and is easy to charge.
I would definitely recommend this vacuum - especially to people who aren't able to maneuver heavy vacuums or people who live in smaller spaces.

This is one of the best items I have ever owned for cleaning up/vacuuming up quick. I love the wall attachment charger. I have had this model for 7 yrs and use it 3-4 times a week and it just keeps going.. Just recently after yrs of use the handle broke and I kept on using it, next the clip that kept the dust cup on broke and I kept on using it. Now finally the battery is falling off and I had to reluctently throw it away.
So I have been with out the vacuum 4 days and I am here to buy another. No other brand or style will do for me.
